Town boss Curtis Woodhouse is pleased to announce that Danny Buttle is returning to the club, signing from Handsworth Parramore. The prolific winger joins Lewis Dennison in signing for Queensgate, while a familiar face returned to training this week. When announcing the deal, Woodhouse said: “I’m delighted to welcome Danny Buttle back to Bridlington Town, it really is a fantastic signing for us. Danny has probably been the best left winger in the league over the last three seasons and will add some real quality and experience to the team.
“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Jas (Handsworth manager) for helping us get the deal done. I am aiming to finalise two more signings in the next couple of days to go alongside Lewis Dennison and Danny Buttle.
“The squad needed reshaping and freshening up a bit so I’m delighted we have started to get some new faces through the door. Tom Fleming also trained Thursday evening with the squad so I’m hoping he will be returning to the fold soon and that will give the squad a huge lift.”
Fellow new signing Lewis Dennison made his debut in the abandoned game against Pontefract on Tuesday, and both go into the squad for the away trip to Penistone Church tomorrow.
