Scott Kerr appointed new Seasiders Manager

Bridlington Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Kerr as our new First Team Head Coach, alongside Mark Hotte who joins as Assistant Manager.
Scott Kerr brings a wealth of experience from across the professional and semi-professional game. A former midfielder born in Leeds, Scott enjoyed a distinguished playing career with over 400 senior appearances, including spells in the Football League with Bradford City, Lincoln City and York City, where he captained Lincoln over a six-year period and earned individual accolades such as Lincoln City Player of the Year (2008–09) and York City Clubman of the Year (2011–12).
Scott’s understanding of the game, leadership qualities and commitment on and off the pitch align perfectly with our club’s ethos and ambitions. We are confident his experience and footballing intelligence will be pivotal as we strive for success both on and off the field.

Joining Scott in the coaching team is Mark Hotte, a seasoned professional who enjoyed a long playing career in the English game – notably with clubs including Oldham Athletic, Scarborough, York City and FC Halifax Town. Mark’s experience and knowledge of the non-league football landscape make him a fantastic addition to the backroom staff, complementing Scott’s leadership and helping to drive our collective goals forward.

The Board would like to thank supporters for their patience throughout our manager recruitment process. We conducted a thorough and comprehensive interview programme to ensure we found a Head Coach and team that not only possess the right skill set and network but also share our club’s values, passion and long-term vision.

Our objective remains steadfast: to build a sustainable, competitive squad capable of achieving our long-term aim of playing in the National League North within the next five years. We firmly believe that Scott and Mark are the right people to lead us on this journey.
Please join us in welcoming Scott and Mark to Bridlington Town FC and in wishing them every success in their new roles.

Speaking of the appointment Daniel Rogers, Chairman said “I’m delighted to welcome Scott to the Bridlington Town leadership team following a rigorous recruitment campaign by the club, leaving no stone unturned. Throughout our extensive discussions Scott’s leadership style, character and determination to drive standards shone through and I have renewed confidence that we are on the right path to building a professional, sustainable club that will not only compete at this level but thrive and go on to meet our longer term objectives of playing Step 2 football within the next 5 years. Now is the time to bring back the positivity, come down and get behind Scott and the team. I look forward to seeing everyone down at Queensgate on New Year’s Day and cheering on Scott and his team”.
